I have joined NIIT to pursue diploma in JAVA. They lured me in by promising close to 100% plaements. Soon after I joined, I understood that most candidates from my previous batch did not get placed. We were being taught by a trainer, who seemed to be very new to the subject. When it came to placements time, there were very few companies which came forward. The interviews/tests were for all NIIT branches combined + some other institutes as well. As expected, even after 1 year of completion of course, only 1 out of 20 have got placed.
Now coming to the promises they had made before paying the course fees:
Everyone will get placed. Very few may not get placed, for whom extra training in terms of communication skills to ensure that they get placed.
Expert trainers will be coaching and they are available all the time to clear any doubts.

Leave alone, NIIT’s incompetency to call companies for placements. They don’t even allow us to attend interviews for the companies which rarely come. They want to conduct mock-interviews and qualify before we are allowed to attend the company’s interview. Worst of all, they are blaming us for not getting thru’ the few interviews. But, frankly, whatever little we have learnt is through self-learning.
I had high hopes of getting placed before I joined NIIT. Now I realize I have wasted a lot of time on this greedy institute.
For all those looking out to get job-oriented training, please be cautioned that this institute (especially NIIT BTM) is sheer waste of time and money. There are so many Java institutes which really train you in JAVA. Once you have the knowledge you will have lot more job opportunities than the hand-few which companies invited for placements and pick fewer candidates.
