One of my job consultants forwarded my cv to NIIT for a open position out there. I told her specifically that it won’t be possible for me to attend the interview on a particular day as I had some personal emergencies on that day. My Consultant had conveyed this to Debashmita of NIIT Ltd, Pretoria St. Office well in advance.
In spite of this, quite surprisingly, Debosmita forced me to visit her office on that very day which was literally impossible for me. She kept on saying that it is MOST URGENT and I must visit her once by any means. Being helpless, I had to rush from Dum Dum to Pretoria St (imagine how far it is!!) to meet Debosmita. After initial talks.
She asked me about my Expected salary and I specifically told her that it MUST not be less than 10K per month as I am already getting this from my present job. Debosmita committed that my salary would be more than that. I also asked her about the office timings and she confirmed me that the office timings are between 10 AM to 6 PM. She then told me that I will have to meet Mr. Arora of NIIT, Tollygunge Centre for the final interview on the next day.
After I met Mr. Arora at Tollygunge Centre, the scenario was 180 degrees different!!! He told me that the office timigs are from 9 AM to 8 PM and he offered me a salary of 6, 000/- per month!!! I was shocked to notice that!! How come an organization like NIIT does have these type of communication GAP within their stakeholders?? I must say it is really a poorly managed company with very middle class attitude towards employees.
I had to run after this drama for a week, travel a lot, spare huge time, spend money on traveling to the NIIT offices..Who is responsible for this?? I think of suing Mr. Arora for Women Harassment Case. Person like this should be taught a lesson. They always take us for granted and that’s DANGEROUS. Pls stay away from them.
