We got this camera for our vacation, and we love it! I spent a LOT of time researching cameras trying to find a good balance between point-and-shoot ease, great zoom, multiple shooting modes, and a price that would not break my bank. This camera fits the bill in all categories.
Out of the box, this camera makes a great first impression. The red color and metal design give this camera a polished, professional look and feel. Our first picture was of one of our cats, and the 14.1 MP really looked sharp! I spent some time zooming in on objects in my house, and I was amazed how close I could get and how sharp the pictures turned out with this camera. As expected, in full zoom the image stabalization was a bit tricky. Most of the time it worked really well, but a few times pictures came out blurry. The pop-up flash also takes some getting used to, but after a few pictures, it becomes second nature to turn the camera on and pop the flash.
The camera comes with a plethora of shooting modes: Night, Landscape, Pets, Sports, Sunrise/Sunset Effects just to name a few! We had fun experimenting with the burst shot mode as well! It took three clear, sharp photos in under two seconds.
I highly recommend this camera to those people who are looking for more than the average point-and-shoot, but do not want to pay the big price.
