The Nikon Coolpix L120 is an outstanding multipurpose automatic point and shoot camera for anyone that wants to step up from a basic compact unit. It takes fine photos and videos in just about any indoor/outdoor environment and the numerous scene setting options allow you to fine tune your shots. The camera is compact with a very powerful zoom, and the superb finish belies it’ modest cost. The fact that it uses readily available and fairly inexpensive AA batteries is definitely a plus. You can also opt to use rechargeable batteries if you prefer those instead.
This camera is not intended for semi or pro photographers; it’s a stylish, robust automatic point and shoot camera with a laundry list of nice shooting features and options and a powerful zoom. It’s priced to not break the bank. If you require manual camera manipulation for aperture settings, exposure, etc. purchase a quality DSLR camera for hundreds more. My two biggest nicks with Nikon and this camera is that you do not receive an AC adapter(optional) and a paperback owner’s amnual. A CD version of the owner’s manual is provided. The powerful display is crisp, clear, and does not wash out in bright locations. Even without a viewfinder I would purchase this camera again.I would have rated this product 5 stars if not for the lack of an included AC adapter and paper owner’s manual.
