Hi!
Nikon Coolpix L340 is old-age. It has a 20 MP camera but youve to be a professional to use it to get sharp pictures.
#1. Picture Quality: It has a 20 MP camera and it not works well in dim light or in dark well that you can get all the memories that you want to capture. In spite when this has a 28 X Optical zoom camera the inbuilt Flash is very low and you do not get sharp pictures in low lighting. In Bright light you will get very High quality picture with this Camera. Down side is that is does not has slot to plot an external Flash to get good pictures.
#2. User friendly: Its user friendly as it doesnt has many features and you can operate it well in bright day light. Same camera becomes sophisticated when you are in low light. This you need to have some knowledge how to adjust aperture manually to get good picture in low light without using Flash because Flash is not heavy and wont change things as you want them to appear.
#3. Shutter speed: This something technical and professional people understand better. For normal user adapting to the shutter speed is not easy. I myself doesnt feel confident in taking sharp pictures by adjusting the aperture and adapting to the shutter speed. Its not easy and may be professional people could handle it in a better way but this makes this camera not easy to operate.
#4. Battery life: I was seriously shocked to find that this camera is powered by AA batteries, thiss doesnt gives you more than 200 shots with Flash ON and when you use this for Video Recording you lose your battery more fast.
#5. Value for Money: Certainly not. This camera doesnt have the top notch features that are in other Nikon models and its really an old aged camera it seems that works on AA batteries. You can only have a 32 GB memory card and there is no such instruction in the manual about this.
Its not an optimal choice as there are better cameras in market that can give you more in all departments. I do not see any reason strong enough for someone to buy this. I got this as a gift from someone and I am not very fond of it.
