I’ve bought NIKON COOLPIX S10 one yr back with lot of expectations ! But from my experience, this camera is just an ordinary camera in terms of its performance.
Even though the shots under normal daylight are good, the performance under dark conditions are below average or even poor. The LCD screen is nice one. Flash is powerful, but it illuminates the object horribly. Absence of view finder is also a negative point because taking pictures under sunlight is a difficult job with LCD screeen .10x Optical zoom and image stabilizer works very nice. Also, the 360 deg rotation capability of the lens is a good feature which helps in trouble free shooting.
From my experience, it fails to focus on closer objects, even after tried to use the ’macro close-up’ feature. Battery life is good. A feature rich camera which lags its main feature - good picture quality !
In short, this camera did not meet my expectations.
