I am absolutely in love with my Nikon D80.
Awesome, awesome, awesome camera.
I had been hired out by several friends since purchasing it to take family/senior pictures because my photography has improved that much. I love Nikon cameras and have found them to be equal in quality to Cannon. Both take amazing shots.
There are a lot of settings to choose from - tons of options - and a lot of learning that needs to go into learning how to run this mini computer. The book that comes with it is nice and Nikon has a lot of great videos online that will teach you how to use the camera to get different shots - depending on what you’re going for(portrait, landscape, sports, etc). I have found that the flash comes up rather quickly, and the camera is very responsive to touch and focuses like a dream. Lenses, of course, are wonderful.
