I have purchased Nikon D3100 in July 2011 and I am very happy with it. Picture Quality is very good and also the low light performance. I use this SLR for Nature , Birds and Wildlife Photography and it works fine with high ISO settings upto 1600. Live View and HD Video Recording mode are also good.
Absence of Inbuilt Autofocus Motor, Jack for External Microphones are slight incontinent things. Guide mode and Display of settings as graphics helps beginners very much to get better shots.
