Nirulas, the popular restaurant in Sector 2 of Noida, is shown to be in Delhi. I am not able to accept the fact that the Nirulas is located in Noida and also in Delhi. Noida is in UP. How can the Narulas have a dual location ? However, those who would like to have good food in this part of the town, come to the Nirulas any way.
I know about the track records of the Nirulas. Some years ago the Nirulas had a chain of restaurants and hotels in the Middle East countries, but had to close the business. There could be many reasons for this, which is not our concern at present. But the valuable experience gained by the Nirulas should enable the organisation to open its chain of restaurants in all Metros and District Headquarters in India. The Udipis are a role model in this business.
Once while attending a Conference in Noida, I was invited for lunch at the Nirulas. Although it was a quick lunch, we had clear Chicken Soup, Tandoori Chicken, Fried Rice, Dal fried, Fish - Sweet & Sour, and of course, ice cream, which is the hallmark of the Nirulas. The food was extremely delicious, and service was very prompt. The uniformed waiters were humble, always ready to serve the customers with a smile. The lighting was soft and music still softer.
The average cost of a meal could be about Rs.100/- to Rs.150/-, depending upon what and how much one has taken.
I have not been able to find out what does that meaningful () after Nirula mean ? Any meaningful answers? The first five correct answers will get Nirulas coupons for the tasty ice cream. There is no last date. Better try your luck !
