MAX Bupa Life Insurance is a complete NO-NO if you really want to go for a genuine insurance cover. We have a corporate insurance cover with MAX Bupa for Rs.50, 000 and I applied for a maternity cover which amounted to Rs. 70, 000.
Inspite of providing all the hospitalization related documents beforehand, they sent me letters twice from their head office asking once for additional medical bills if any and second time again for hospital documents. When I called up their customer care asking for what more documents do they need, the operators were clueless.
After all this headache, when I finally received the amount, they had credited only Rs.30, 000 to my account when the cover was for Rs. 50, 000. I asked them the reason for this and those morons did not have any excuse.
Never ever go for this Insurance company.
