I purchased this phone for my mother. I have a 2100(seperate review later). 1100 is really ’’made for India’’ phone. If you are looking for a basic phone with the NOKIA brand name then go for 1100.
Pros:
Good reception
Innovative features like flashlight , dust sensitive keypad etc
Downloadable ring tones, pictures etc
Best of all, a battery pack which beats all other phones(Nokia/Non Nokia)
The battery life of 1100 is definitely worth a mention. It has a standby time upto 400hrs. In reality, it depends on the cell provider. In my case, it lasts for a week(7-8 days/standby/SMS). During normal usage(20min outgoing, 20 min incoming, sending SMS, using flashlight per day)it lasts for 4-5 days which is really good
Cons:
There is no dial button/end button as found in other NOKIA phones(2100). This can be of some incovinience especially if you are switching from 2100
It costs 4.1k in Bangalore with 2 years warranty and 1 year Anti theft insurance.
