Well, I’ve had the black moto razr earlier which to this day I feel has the looks to knock out phones that cost 10 times as much. But then again that was about all that it had going for...It was horrid in just about everything else. The Nokia 1112 was wayy more functional(compared to other phones in its price league). So now coming to our Nokia phone, I was looking for a budget phone at the time n at the same time didn’t want one like the Nokia 1100 which has that yucky yellow back light and annoying navigation keys. In terms of usability, the well thought layout of the keys does make a huge difference.
And this is the kinda phone that I wouldn’t actually mind flaunting around a bit(yes yes I know its a basic model)....but still well, I can put it this way, this phone is the moto razr among cheap phones in terms of looks. N it has none of the annoying functionality probs that the razr has...in fact u can call it the ericsson among cheap phones in terms of functionality and features. The phones superb for heavy fast texting as the keys feel just right while msgng.
Nothing much actually to say about the product but seriously, this phone can be a good long term investment in a way. Its damn rugged! Its fallen on almost all the types of floors known to man n still comes out unscathed working as if nothing had happened. Its even somewhat waterproof I felt coz its gotten wet many times n still worked fine. But then stupid me, thinking that the phones completely waterproof, left it in my jeans while I was out getting drenched in heavy rain. Later took out the phone which was dripping with water n still found that it was working. But then again it stopped working after about 15mins and then u wont believe it but the phone actually started calling people itself coz the buttons all of them had gotten screwed hehe....
Repairing it wasn’t a problem as almost at every nook and corner you have Nokia repair centers. Another thing going for this phone is its interchangeable panels which I found gave it an all new look each time I switched. Try getting it with the dark blue scheme which I felt gave it a cleaner profile. All white too wasn’t bad but then it gets dirty quite often(duh!)
