I purchased new Nokia 1662 around 15 days back. It is same as 1661. The first set was defective in terms of low incoming voulme, so it was replaced by shopowner after much pursuation. The new set is also having a lot of problems. Most of times, the people on other side of phone complain that they are receiving voice very low. So I think Nokia has degraded its quality of phones by making them in China. I m planning to replace Nokia phone with other brands very soon and will throw away this useless phone. Will not advise other people to waste money on Nokia phones.
I will also like to mention that last year I had Nokia 3230 phone. After using it for 1.5 years, suddenly its speaker got a defect. So I went to authorized Nokia Center at Sec 2, Noida. During investigation of my phone, Nokia people damaged UI of my phone and they asked for Rs 1500/- for changing the same. And they also said that there is no guarantee that phone will get recified and it can even go dead. So I contacted a local phone mechanic. He detected that UI was damaged by Nokia authorised center.
It only needed change of a simple speaker worth Rs 100/-. I complained to Nokia through their website against the wrong servcie provided by their sec-2, noida center. But they refused to accept their mistake. I would advise people to give up using Nokia phones. They are waste of money and this company has no ethics.
