Oh..I love this old phone Nokia 3100 of mine. It was gifted by my dad on my birthday. I was soooo happy to get this colour phone. I can never forget that day you know. Those days colour phone was fashion with musical ringtones. It was one of the first nokia model with polyphone sound... colour display and speaker phone. This was my first phone too....and as I call friends and talk for very long time, this phone was very easy to handle. It was a small phone....very cute looking with sweet pinky colour plastic make. First I had trouble learning the menus you know but it was easy after few months.
It had a long battery life...like I talked for hours with my friends and still there was no charging problem. The sound was of high volume....like if it is in my handbag still I can hear the tune and dont miss calls by any chance! But one bad thing was there was no music player or radio without the headphones.....so later I bought the headphones which was Rs 1600 ! But it was good at I could listen to FM radio songs all day ! It also had a place to connect a fun camera for extra cost which I did not take.
The phone was very small and hard...it fell from my hand many times on road but nothing happened ! The best was when the phone fell on water....lol....my cute 5 year old neice was playing with it and dropped it in a water bucket !!! But when I dried the phone under table lamp for one day and put the parts together and ....wow ......its working again!
Other good feature was the keyboard of the phone which is three buttons are attched together kind of arrangement. It is very useful for girls, you know......you can type sms with long nail too... ..lol !
Also, it was the first phone of Nokia with standing facility ... I mean the phone cud stand vertically. And it had speaker too....sooo nice ...so I can talk while cooking too !
Overall I was very happy and loved my phone but one day it stopped working completely and the repair people said it is some IC problem. I still have the phone in my drawer. Nokia has done bad thing by removing it from market..........nahin to I should ask everyone to buy it.
