My First Cellphone was a Panasonic GD92. I used it for a year and half and then changed it with the Nokia 6610i. Nokia 6610i is a nice sleek, feature full phone which I was too happy to own. But with the onset of so many affordable Smart Phones in the market, I thought of buying one.
When thinking of buying a New Cell Phone, the first choice is obviously Nokia, who owns a considerable chunk of market share and is there with a new phone released every month or so. With the amount of money I was ready to dole out, I had the choice of buying two phones the Nokia 6600(Rs 11, 500) and the Nokia 3230(Rs 15, 300). Nokia 6600 was a bit too bulky and was released years ago, so the idea of buying that was dropped. I went ahead and purchased a Nokia 3230. I would discuss few of these features of the phone which according to me are important
Looks & Feel
The look of this phone is too attractive and it is available it two colors red and black. The keypad at first seems small, but once you get used to it, it seems fine. The screen is a large one and the color , display(65, 536-color screen) is better than most of the phones.
Memory
This phone comes with the memory of 32 MB which is much less, even 6600 is sold with a card of 64MB. But this MMC card is expandable and can be increased if you are ready to shell out some extra money.
Camera
At 1.3 MegaPixel, the pictures and the video is pretty much decent. Sometimes the pictures are of such good quality that you cannot make out that it has been taken from the camera phone. It has got a 2x Zoom, but the picture gets blurred when you click them in zoom mode. It can record around 1 hr of video and get around 65 good quality pictures stored in the phone.
The Problem with this camera is that it takes picture after around 10 -15 seconds of clicking the button
Speaker
This one is a big let down of this phone. My Nokia 6610i speaker was much louder than this one. It does not have a stereo sound, Nokia made it mono. The voice of the speaker is too low, So if you’re planning to hear the radio or play some mp3’s on it, prepare to stick your ears near to the speaker.]
Software
The software of this smart Nokia phone is pretty much decent. But once in a while it gives some real annoying errors. It also restarts itself without any rhymn and reasons.
These are some default applications installed along with this phone which are of no use because the service providers do not provide services to support these features.
Battery
One of the main let down of this phone is the Battery. It does not have a very good backup. You may have to charge it everyday. Recently, I was planning to put a 512MB card in this phone, so that I can also use it as a MP3 player. But then I dropped the idea when I thought that it would be of no use as the battery would drain down quickly if I am going to listen to songs on it, for the whole day.

My Verdict:- Although the phone is a good. But it has flaws like Camera taking picture after few seconds, Low volume speaker, OS restart problem, 32 MB memory (Less memory), So I would not recommend this phone to any of the prospective buyers who are planning to buy a SMART phone.
