I had used Nokia-2100 and Nokia-3220 earlier, so I thot let me try one in mid-range. But I am
repenting now.
The battery life is max 2 days, as against promised 4-5 days. There is no auto-keypad lock. The FM radio receiveer seems to be very weak. It needs very strong signal to properly receive the transmission. In areas where other sets play FM excellently inspite of weak signal, the Nokia-3230 konks off, with no reception at all. Worst of
all, even after paying more for buying from a Nokia Priority dealer, the after-sales support is third-
class. The new set with bill was available for 500 rupees less if I bought it from any outside dealer.
However I bought it from Nokia Priority dealer expecting better after-sales service. The dealer tele-
talk and Nokia Care centre varun enterprises in shakarpur, delhi are refusing to help. Even their
customer support numbers are not of any help. They are expecting that there is a problem with the
battery but want me to leave the battery with them for replacement. When they know it is their set,
which is faulty within one month of purchase, how can they expect a customer who recently spent
10, 000/- to stay without mobile for 8-10 days. They are not even ready to arrange for a replacement
battery. I asked them to keep a copy of the bill, or even take a refundable advance, but they are not prepared to do either of these. Very strange. I wonder how long Nokia can sustain with this kind of attitude towards customers.
Please dont buy this set. As far I am concerned I am through with Nokia, after experiencing their
zero customer support.
