Nokia 3230

Hi it has been 8 months using nokia 3230 to me.

i bought it as the first expansive thing with my first job’s hard earned money..

i will tell u I m not a nokia follower(blind)..

i have used before it

nokia 3310, 3315, 1110, 6600

sony erisson k500i, k700i, k750i, w550i

samsung c230.

so I had bought this phone only because I was in urgent need of phone and I didnt wanted any phone with less than 3 meagpixel camera and without FM..

i had bought it at 13, 750 Rs from Sangeeta, forum mall, bangalore..

( I will tell u that if u want to pay be credit or even debit card, dont go there..

they will suck from u 2 % of total cost !!!! )

ya, so the PROS first,

1 .it has got very good Games

especially the car race..

its wonderful..

Another game with virus killing uses innovative idea of using camera as scanner for viruses in air !!!

but its not as thrilling as the Car race..

2. The Keypad buttons r mettalic, increases appeal and convenience.

3. joystick too is convenient to use..

1. camera is much better than 6600.

   
   




2. message memory is shared so u can store even more than 700 messages if memory is there..!!!

   
   

and now the CONS a long list ......

1.The biggest demerit is the Speaker, it sucks..

u feel as if u r hearing the 50 rs transistor available on footpaths..

really put music and u will feel..

put speaker phone while talking and little noise is there at either side, it irritates a lot..

its not stereo..

2. The 2nd biggest Demerit is the memory..only 32 mb... r we beggars !!!!

r we buying the phone only to store sms..

u can hardly keep 54-60 good quality photos...!!!!

2a. moreover u cant transfer a 3-4 mb mp3 file thro bluetooth even if u have memory..!!!!!

i think the reason is u cant directy copy to memory card...

whatever, but BIG DEMERIT...

3. The time it takes to Save the photo after clicking takes the beauty out of it....

suppose u want to click ur wife’s smile or ur child’s movement , u have to be Very Very lucky...

u cant take photo from a moving vehicle..

And the Video quality is not good enough..

both ur hands and the object needs to be very very static..

4. The RADIO sound clarity is good but loudness is MISSING..

if u r in city bus, u cant listen the radio properly....

5.JOYSTICK is not robust..

keep it single handedly in use or it will turn bad.....

1. Even the Software is not fast enough and prone to stuck...

   
   




2. there is no support for animated wallpapers like SE....

   
   

   Nor a full screen photo of caller can be displayed like SE...

   
   

For the above price u will get sony ericsson’s   W550 i which is a JEWEL of a phone at this price..

what a sound !!!!!

what a cool operating system and 256 mb inbuilt memory !!! wow..

i will try to write a all round review on it soon..

and even K750 I

and u will get 2mp superb camera, superb audio , and 64mb card memory..

IF u happen to think that I m little biased towards SE( sony Ericsson), YES I AM...!!!

and above r the reasons... and u cant find my points incorrect...

The biggest Differene between SE and Nokia is...

SE tries to give u best value for money..

their product price wont fall as sharply as nokia’s ..

and they wont remove one feature to add another..

the nokia, if they will give u FM, they remove the Stereo speakers..

the Earphone wont be as good as the set, look wise..

no clips for earphone..

if they give u more features, they will cut on memory..

and applications takes toomuch time to open..

Lookwise the phone seems robust and masculine..

Hope they improve the faults and increase customer’s adreline... :-)
