Nokia 3610 is claimed to be fun, youthful and stylishly designed. The fun and youthful seem alright but Nokia may just be pushing it too far when they say it is stylishly designed. Though it may appeal to some of you, the 3610 looks certainly didn’t appeal to me. The keys seem to have been stuck together, and the panel seems to have white scales on it. An effect which didn’t go down well at all. The white lights also don’t seem to match this phone.
However on the functional part, there is hardly anything wrong with the 3610. The keymat is clear and allows light to emanate from within. The panels are changeable on both the front and back sides. WAP is present and the display allows upto 4 lines of display during browsing with a 96 X 56 resolution. WAP allows download of the latest game packs, screen savers, ringtones and much more.
The conference call feature is like a dream come true while setting up a meeting or get-to gether. This function allows upto 5 persons to chat at one time. Remember how someone SMS’d you to get that book or thing and yet you forgot? Well no loner; the 3610 allows saving of SMS as reminder.
This new feature I am sure will find popularity among many. SMS functions are everything under the sun. This includes SMS chat, concatenated SMS, Multiple SMS and so on. The inbuilt picture editor allows you to design your own picture messages. These picture messages may be forwarded with accompanying text.
The fun part actually begins from here. The backlights are rhythmic and dance to th tune of the ringtone, no just dumb flashing to indicate an incoming call. The repeated alarm feature ensures you wake up at the same time every morning without need to set the alarm every night. Stopwatch and built in timer allow you to time yourself to prepare for those entrance exams or just time your workouts. The coolest games include Dance2Music, Space Impact, Magic Draw and 3 more! New game packs can of course be downloaded from Club Nokia since the 3610 possesses WAP.
I don’t have anything to add as the features are really ultimate for a 3... Series phone. However the looks leave much to be desired. Its weight is 91 grams .
