Hi...I have been using the Nokia 5100 for about a year now and I think it is an excellent phone. It has weathered all kinds of abuse...from hot coffee to sudden drops from the pocket while kiking and rain as well. The features are excellent and also handy if you get stuck somewhere in the dark.
Sound quality needs to be improved for the polyphonic tunes which are not in the league of Samsung or Ericsson. Sometimes the downloaded tunes miss a beat or more and do not come out quite as they are supposed to.
Also the buttons are hard to press and takes some getting used to. The phone is quite bulky and my friends tease me of having a phone that looks like it is wearing a designer bikini. Dust tends to accumulate in the crevices and can be a problem at time.
It holds up quite well against water and shocks
Else it is a good buy for 11K.
