I have always been using Nokia phones and I was looking for a phone which could have the basic features without a camera. My company had a rule that we shouldnt use camera phones!
Anyways, once at the shop I found the nokia model with FM and without camera was the Nokia 6030. I have been using the phone for 2 years now. Initially when I used the phone, I was worried that the main keys would get spoilt after a while as they appear to be separate pieces. However the phone has lasted well.
I am however, happy to say that the phone has survived the following:
1) 2 falls
2) 3 washes in the rain
The FM radio makes life easy while on rides to the office or at office. We can easily enter the frequency of the FM channel and also have a shortcut to access the radio. However, there is no option to switch the position of the FM channels. So if you want to put the FM channels according to frequency then you need to tune them correctly.
For Ex: Let say u tuned 91.30 at channel 1 and 97.30 at channel 2. Now you are aware that a new FM station is streaming at 94.0 MHz. You would need to go to channel 2 and change its frequency to 94.0 MHZ and at Channel 3 store 97.30.
The other thing is that by selecting the radio menu items starts an immediate play of the selected FM channel. Wish there was an option where in by selecting the same menu item the radio would stop playing!
Overall I would say that this is a good model to have if you are looking at the basic features. Note: This phone cannot display pictures sent by motorola phones!
