I bought this phone nearly 18 months ago. It worked fine till 3 weeks ago it would start switiching off all of a sudden.
I took it to a Nokia Priority Dealer who then directed me to Nokia Care in Malleswaram, Bangalore and after a chaotic wait at a tiny kiosk they call Nokia Care center, I was told that it has some software problem and I was asked to go to the main center on Infantry Road, Bangalore which is crowded. It took nearly one hour to get an appointment to describe the problem and leave the phone for servicing.
After a week in the workshop, I picked up the phone from Nokia Care (run by HCL) - they said they have reloaded the software. I started using it - lo and behold.....it conked off again (same problem). I spent nearly Rs.200 on commute and Rs.56 for inspection fee and a good 4-5 hours wasted over two saturdays.
Nokia Cares telephone number listed on the web doesnt work and they dont have one printed on service invoice. Very pathetic service standards given the expectations from a world class company like Nokia. I guess I need to go there again and try my luck OR simply buy a new phone (definitely not a Nokia this time).
