Below is my experience of nokia authorised care centre, and I have mailed my grievance to nokia authorities. I would request you to advise me some tips so that my grievance would be solved. The below letter I have mailed to nokia authorities on 14 June 2007, and yet I am to hear from them, Date: 13 June 2007 Sir, Myself from Aurangabad(Maharashtra, India), would like to bring to your kind notice about the pathetic and not at all customer oriented service provided by Nokia Care Centre. On 07 June 2007 I purchased one Nokia 6151 Model Mobile Phone from your Nokia Priority dealer>>>>>>>Phone:>>>>>>>.
Upon the charging of the phone it was noticed that the charger is getting hot after using for 10-15 minutes, hence on 11 June 2007 I went to the Nokia Priority dealer and apprised him of the problem. He advised me to go to Nokia Authorised Service Centre, which is just above Nokia Priority, Inthe authorised care centre they checked the charger and told that it was defective and informedme that to change the charger it would take about 15-25 days as they have to get it changed from Pune. When asked whether can they change the charger now itself, they told that they dont have the accessories at their Centre and they would have to get the defective charger changed from Pune Office and it would take about 15-25 days.
Then I visited Nokia Priority dealer again to ask for some other solution, as it was not fair to wait for 15-25 days to get a charger changed. Then I called up the Centre Manager and apprised him of the sitauation, he assured me that he would replace the charger and asked me to come on 13 June 2007. When I went to Nokia authorised care centre, he told me to wait for 15 minutes, after 15-20 minutes the Centre Manager handed over one charger to me in which the wires were split and the insulation had come up, when this was bought to the notice of the Centre Manager he told that there is no stock of chargers and with this I should manage as a standby until new stock arrives. So this means that nokia authorised care centres have appointed people as Centre Managers who give false assurance to customers.
When again questioned the Centre Manager about the replacement charger he plainly told that there is not stock available. This attitude of the Centre Manager should not be encouraged by Nokia, and it spoils the company name and gives a negative impression to the already aggrieved customer. Apart from this I am also having another problem which I dont wish to tell the authorities at nokia customer care because of their attitude. As per nokia assurance, the battery of Nokia 6151 is expected to give about 250 Hrs standby time, but my Phone battery status reduces from 100% to 10-15% within a matter of 32 Hours, In those 32 hours I had used calls for only about 20 minutes. Hence I want to know about the battery status as to how come the battery status reduces so fast when nokia assures a standby time of 250 Hours.
I regret to inform that the service provided by the authorised care centres is really pathetic, at least they should have accessories ready in hand for catering to the replacement cases of customers. But, even for accessories the Nokia care at Aurangabad tells that It has to get the accessory replaced from Pune, then what is the use of opening a Authorised service Centre in Aurangabad, which takes 15-20 days for replacing a defective charger. The sales person while selling the phone mentions the advantage of Nokia mobiles over Sony Ericsson and other mobile phone manufacturers by mentioning that Nokia has got two service centres in Aurangabad. But in reality both of these service centres dont seem to help the customer, rather these kind of service centres are more into harassing the already troubled customer.
Then surely people will prefer other company mobile over Nokia once they get such service from Nokia authorised service centre. I request you to suggest some solution to my problem and take the necessary action. A prompt response from your side would be highly appreciated.
