NOKIA 6255 True Value for your Money

Hi All,

I am a proud owner of NOKIA 6255 CDMA set powered by Reliance (INDIA). NOKIA 6255 is a powerful low priced hand set having all most all New age facilities. I think it is the wright move by NOKIA who never sells a high end hand set at such a low price. It cost you arround 12500 INR in Bangalore with a CDMA connection from Reliance. Currently 6255 is available with Reliance connection only.

Pros:

Display Type    65, 536 colors, TFT

External Display    4096 colors, LCD

Expansion Slot MMC Card slot ( Currently my system runs on a 128MB Card)

Polyphonic Ringtones    Midi, Mp3 and AAC

Connectivity

Bluetooth

BREW

CDMA 2000

Infrared (IR)

MMS

USB

WAP

Camera

FM Radio

GPS

Mp3 Player

Video Recording

But some of this above mentioned features are network dependent. It has a extendable antenna to catch more signal in remote location.

I think we will never find such an advanced GSM (NOKIA) handset. Thanks to CDMA Technology and QUALCOMM.

Answers to your comments:

  • Maximum Length of movie clip depends on the memory availablity (not tried this.)

  • I think phone can live more than 3 days if you are using it only for calls. Else it needs one recharge / 2 days. ( if ur are hearing mp3 in speaker mode for long hours it needs a daily recharge) Basically the life depends on your usage

  • CPU speed it too good.

  • There is no heating problem (which u will find normally with LG and Samsung)

  • SMS - not checked

I will edit my review once I get used to it
