One word...Nokia, irreplaceable name and 6500S is my first Nokia. And pretty much content with it.... Especially as compared with ruggedness and battery life...Nokia is invincible..Infact Nokia should be coming up with an Ad like the Duracel Rabbit Race ad, getting to the Stats :
1) Sound Reception : No problemo. Real crisp sound till now, especially I checked out the Bluetooh Sound Enhancement feature with my Laptop..real smashing feature....
2) Ease of Use : Basic Nokia UI....which is made keeping the user in mind....So no complaints especially if you are switching from a Moto or a Sony..One concern regarding the keys positioning. The top panel of the keypad is a bit hard to press as the top part of the slider presses against your finger. Apart from that the other buttons are well positioned...esp the camera button...makes you feel you are operating a Cam...
3) Style & Design : The Steel and Black combo rocks any day.. Real nice coffee Mug finish. Add the slider function to that...cool stuff...A bit on the bulkier side....Im sorry ..this piece not for the sissies. Download some cool themes from Mobile44.com and your phones a piece for exhibition..
4) Range of Features : Pandoras Box..has every thing...just lacks the wifi..apart from that has almost everything. Real cool games as well. .try racing with multiplayer...nice experience....
5) Reliability & Durability: I give a 2 on 5 cause of the **inherent flaw in design** of this model. The back panel doesnt fit properly. The problem comes due to the fact that the back panel is just held by a small metal ball fitting in a plastic pit. Now this obviously causes the plastic piece to wear out pretty fast. Actually I had my initial piece replaced from the Nokia dealer within 24 hours citing this problem...LO. Replaced piece also had the ditto problem. If the Nokia Guys are listening, then this is a wake up call. Foolish design folks....
6) Value for Money : Needs to be a bit more lighter on the pockets of the Aam Admi...13 K is a bit too much...
