When I wanted to buy multi utility mobile which should have camera, computer connectivity, more memory for storage apart from good telephone functions, I went to Nokia Priority dealer. I did not even think of buying anyother brand as in the past I have used only Nokia, & I was happy with all of them.Even in my family we all have Nokia mobiles so to share the charger it is easy.
6600 was suggest by NPD executive being all the features I wanted were there in it. So without much going in to deep and I knew few people who were using this phone I bought it.
After taking it home when I started the phone it took nearly 2 minutes to start !!!. After starting to open each menu it took 30 seconds. The ease of use is there but not like earlier models. I went straight to Application manager in main menu where the sales executive had shown me wordmade and excel etc. But it was not working as it was not part of the unit.You have to buy online all this softwares which will be downloaded in your computer and than only you can use it. Some functions were trial ones which you can utilise only 5 times. Which ended in just 2 days as I was boasting the features to my family members and friends.You can download word, excel, powerpoint etc. files from computer and watch it but you can not edit it. (Still I am finding the utility of this, if I cannot edit it). The basic functions are deep inside the tools menu and are not as good as the earlier models like 1100, 3200, 3210 etc. The slowness of the phone is horrible. if you try to do 2 activities at the same time it is surely going to hang. Few times it shuts down without even touching the phone, sometime it vibrates and shutdown.While charging in car few times it hangs. Sometime because of the slowness of responsding I think it looks if it is hanged. The bluetooth can only connect to maximum 2 devices. If you have a bluetooth headset and are attached to computer you can not add any other thing. Blue tooth headset many times gets disconnected eventhough it is lying next to it. Distance wise also it hardly covers 20’ area.
Now few good things.The rates are very competetive with good camera, video camera features.Screen size is the best. Compared to the in built features, the weight of the mobile is ok.Battery charging time is less as well as the battery lasts for good time.
