*Well this handset has been my favourite, read this to find out how , technically-
good things
-a very sturdy handset with faster processor than most of its contemporaries and predecessors-the main cpu in this smartphone is an arm compatible chip (omap 1710 (armv5 architecture, arm9 core)) running at 220 mhz.
-a wide range of applications available for this handset using symbian 60 7.0 and 8.0a.
-excellent personal information management wherein you find calendar clock mails etc coordinated to a very user friendly level-these are minute features which you notice after long period of use.
-then come the advanced features like edge, 3g, wcdma, xhtml, excellent browsing(i used it for pc connectivity very stably for hours).
-moreover it has hot swap memory card slot, offline mode, mms size of 300kb(others support 100kb).
-the internal memory is 10 mb just sufficient to operate the phone smartly like not keeping many applications esp.browsers open at a time, not installing apps on phone memory, choosing memory card mail box , avoiding some applications which take up too much of phone memory while installing , etc.
-battery life is good according to how you use it and those who experience it draining fast have normally some malicious software or theme .
bad things-
-the phone doesnt have an fm radio!
-its music is not tooo good to cherish much.no features to enhance the bass though equaliser can be obtained by applications like power mp3.
-1.3 mp camera quality is just average in clarity and it doesnt have flash.
these things you keep looking in other handsets later.
-the shape of the mobile is not so smart!
-the screen resolution is not very good as seen in many other handsets.
-the 3g feature is incomplete cz there is no video calling although options are given, they are of no use cz it doesnt have front side vga camera n calling is transmitted as a still or picture that you set.
-the signals tend to lose but not very often except in locked vodafone devices for 3g.though there is automatic switching between bands and there is option as well to switch to gsm only. then it might reboot if there is no network.it might also reboot if you have filled its cache by the ways i already explained in memory management.
-there might be text sendings failed but it may be due to many other reasons like sim viruses, switching mailbox, network not responding etc.so its difficult to say if that is a handsets problem although more reported on this handset but overall frequency is less.the same is the case with missed calls numbers sometimes not getting registered.
overall its use depends on your manouvrability and you will be very happy with this handset .nokia 6680 has next best in this type of built up of features and technicality with addition of camera cover, flash, vga camera for 3g , nice shape, but no updating for music or fm.
