I m having Nokia 6630 from the year 2005 and I would like to say that I never had any sort of problem on that phone. I want to add that this set is Nokia’s best set ever made can be compared by any even higher end mobile available in the market. I know that this mobile they have stopped making but if by chance you are getting it from anywhere grab it, because you will not get it now in showrooms.
I would like to start with:
Looks: This mobile has a unique looks, Very much handy. Large screen gives a better vision of video as well as of any display. Sleek body makes it very catchy for eye. This phone doesn’t have any edges on the corners, all corners are rounded and it will scratch your face or any part of body. Key Pads are also so well designed that you will not find on any other phones in market not even any other Nokia’s Phones. Designing 6630 was the best ever I had seen in mobile world.
Technology: Nokia 6630 runs on Symbian 60 series(S60 Series). All application which have .sas format can be installed in it. This model supports almost all the third party software. Even .jad and .jar files(which are java files) are also supported in this model. Phone gives a flexibility of installing software with Nokia PC suit as well as directly in the Mobile. Due to enabling of using third party software in this mobile you can load lots of Games, Songs, Themes, Videos and other entertaining stuffs.
Music: Due to installation of Third party Software it Supports Mp3, Wmv, Mp4 and Rmv. Real media player will default installed on this model but mobile winamp is also available on net. Endless number of Music players can be downloaded as per your needs. The headset is having nice speakers. They are so clear and soothing to ears that you will stop listening any other players. Charger point is separate from ear piece point which is very beneficial during the time of low battery.
Video: It is enable with 3gp format. All its video will be shot on 3gp format. But on the other end when it comes for viewing videos we can see.3gp, .3g, .mp4, and .avi format. Out of which I like .avi format because it gives a very clear video on the phone.
Camera: Nokia 6630 is having 1.3 MP in build camera. I will not say it is the best in its class but it serves atleast the purpose of photography. If taken properly it also give a good resolution pictures which can be compared to any higher MP’s camera images. Zoom and Picture edition option are there which will help you to edit and make best of the images.
Others: In others I would like state that it is having very good clarity on hearing side. Security features are much stronger than other phones. It has Bluetooth features and a wireless earpiece can be installed as per requirement. Mp3 ringtone can be set and also can be edited.
When I Purchased Nokia 6630 it was 10000 INR.
I want to say who so ever has these phone knows where to go now to get a smarter phone than Nokia 6630. If possible Nokia Should again start selling 6630 in market.
