Any people adviced me against selling my cute and slim Nokia 6610 for a a bulky Nokia 6800, but in the end it is surely worth it and those very people who advised me against this phone are saying ’’Wow!’’ when they look at it!.It sure does deserve a wow, as it’s one of it’s kind and always will be.

The Nokia 6800 phone, is almost near perfect, but like everything human, it is not totally perfect. It has a few flaws here and there, that dont really matter, and thus it is one of the best phones that the Nokia Corporation has ever produced. The main thing in this phone is the innovative idea of the integrated QWERTY Keyboard, which folds. At first glance, the 6800 looks like a common phone, and on the heavier(122g) and uglier side. But once you pull the area which has the front keypad, a whole keyboard is presented to you!.When you open the keyboard, the screen also rotates 90 degrees, which is surely an eingineering genius!.The phone comes with a standard 4096 colour screen, but is quite large and can easily fit about 8 lines of text. This makes it a pleasant experience to view images, messages or notes on the colour screen. The phone has a very strong vibrator, and can be felt even in the deepest of pockets. The polyphonic ringtones are crisp and loud, and I did not have a problem hearing them even when in a crowd(eg.Bus Stop). The phone has GPRS and a Wap 1.2.1 browser which allows you to surf WAP pages and download stuff.A 3.5 MB memory allows you to fulfill your apititie for downloading images, games, polyphonic tones etc.Messaging is a real pleasure on this phone as the QWERTY Keyboard makes it much easier to type messages. The Nokia 6800 also has PIM features. It has a full calendar with monthly or weekly view.It has an alarm clock and an excellent reminder feature.Java allows you to easily find a useful application for use in daily life or entertaining games.FM Radio provides entertainment or news.Lastly, there is the Pop Port Interface. This interface is really helpful for such a phone.New Nokia enchancements will allow you to use Bluetooth headsets, a Camera and so many more things. The BLC-2 1000Mah Battery provides upto 4 hours talktime and 15 days standby(as said in manual).Real figures are about 2.5 hours talk time and 5 days standby. The Nokia 6800 at the end of the day, is a mixed bag. Many people go on looks, so this is where they will be repelled by this phone, as frankly, it’s big and a bit on the uglier side.I liked it because it’s a solid phone, and is manly. It’s intended to be a bisuness phone, but many bisunessmen wont go in for it as it’s Dual Band.Otherwise, it is one good phone featuring the QWERTY Keyboard and other new features.
