True VFM Business Phone even in 2009

I have been using E61i handset for last 6 months and thus decided to write a review.

I took up the handset on recommendation of 2 of my colleagues who were using it for long time. At first sight the handset looks bulky but trust me once you take up the carrying case (preferably Nokia branded) you will not feel the bulk and will carry it with style and comfort.

Best part of the phone is host of features at the largest screen size. The display is very sharp and the fonts easily readable which will attract you at first sight. ( Display is better than BlackBerry curve ). For new users the sound reception might seem low but you have to practice placing the receiver near the ear properly, and then you will get used it to. Speakerphone is adequate unless you are in marketplace.

The qwerty keyboard is very very handy while typing, it works like a charm.I really like the browsing experience, if you install Opera Mini, the webpage open just like normal desktop IE screen unless you have heavy java files. Unlike most mobile phones, it does not open the mobile version of webpage thus making the experience of browsing very rich on wide and sharp screen.

Battery life is very very long and I charge in 3 days with keeping my bluetooth headset connected, unless of course you browse heavily. Charging is very fast and within 1 hr it reaches 80% capacity. (You have to physically open the large battery to believe why the backup is so long). The shortcut buttons are very nice feature. Nokia PC Suite allows backup of data as well as synchronization with outlook calendar at ease ( In case you do not have Blackberry service and need to sync with outlook calendar)

Now the most important part of the review, no other business from Nokia phone will allow Blackberry support at this price point ( In case you have eyes for E71/E63/upcoming E75, please be aware that new generation E series do not support Blackberry). My corporate email service does not support active sync / Mail for exchange due to security reasons and only way to access mailbox is via Blackberry. ( Its here that all iphone/HTC/E71 fails)

At 15k, I do not think any other phone offers so much, I upgraded from a normal phone and I am happy to recommend (Touchwood! )
