Mail accessiblity poor

I recently purchased a Nokia E63 for official email access. I had earlier used a Blackberry, but had fallen for the relatively low price of the E63. I have now realized the reason for the low price.

I bought the phone for accessing official emails - for that sole purpose. The dealer informed me that the phone has completely the same functionality as a Blackberry. I use POP (company does not have MS Exchange). The dealer setup twice the phone software (for some reason - this essential software doesn’t come with the phone). However, my requirement of instantaneous access to emails is still not happening.  I have to manually retrieve emails.

I called up Nokia Care and they told me that the phone wont work for Pop instantaneous access push. This is a basic essential for email connectivity, Nokia is trying to showcase this as a business phone, and this essential is missing.

Their Customer Care is incompetent as well. The more I talked to them, the more incompetent things were. They asked me to go back to the dealer. The dealer asked me to go to Nokia. Basically I have nowhere to go. Talking with Customer Care was a test of patience, as I got the impression that they did not know what they were doing.

My biggest regret is not buying a Blackberry. Ultimately, buying a nokia for business phone has become a wasteful totally irrelevant purchase.

For business emailing, I would definitely recommend a Blackberry over Nokia.

My strong loyalty to Nokia has ended with this purchase. Ironically, their brand stands for trust.

Cheers.
