For the last six months I have been using the E72 model from Nokia. I find it as a high time to write my experience about it so that anyone planning to buy can be aware of its pros and cons. The Firmware version I have is v31.0.23 (*#0000#)
Body :
Metal finish, but the chrome finish isvery much scratch prone and if kept in jeans pocket will lead to scratches. You can protect it by using a leather cover.
The qwerty keyboard is excellent and fast in response. There is dedicated torch button with the space bar.
At the backside, the battery cover can get loose, but the metal looks good in its appearance.
The 5MP camera rocks and there is dual LED flash light.
There are dedicated shortcut key which can be assigned to any application of your choice.
The optical trackpad is not a good one in its use.
Mini USB port is very useful.
3.5mm audio jack to plugin your own headset if required or can jackin to your car stereo auxillary port.
Memory:
It comes with inbuilt 8GB external microSD card
The internal memory is sufficient to run the system. With the latest firmware version the memory leak issue is resolved to a huge extent.
Processor:
The 600KHz processor works great you can open most applications (email, PDF, QuickOffice) quickly
OS:
Symbian has prooved itself already in the field of application and there are many softwares/applications available in the market to be installed.
In the present 9.2 version of Symbian OS, you can have different home screen (Active/Basic/talking)
Also you can switch between different homescreens in active mode. This helps a lot if you use MFE as well as Gmail.
the browser is also good and can play flash videos too.
The OVI maps are rocking and you can also record your own voice for navigation.
Cons:
The message editor sometimes hangs when importing contact from phone book. I wish it gets fixed in next upgrade.
I will definitely recommend people to buy this phone.
