I bought Nokia Lumia 525 because of 1GB RAM and free games download worth 2500. Price was 10000 and it was reasonable when compared to other mobiles.
It is a good phone but not a good smart phone. I didnt go for Moto G as it was not having external memory that time.
Pros:
Phone looks good and decent.
Nokia map is very good and it helped me lot of times to find the place accurately in city and it also show places accurately even in my village and nearby town areas.
Battery life is good when you dont see videos and browse for long time.
Voice clarity is good
You can manage your phone using Live account and you can track your phone.
As of now I have never faced any virus threats or mobile down.
MS office is good to upload files from windows system.
-Photos are good But no HD for video recording. But I dont have any expectations for camera in a mobile. 5 MP should be enough.
-360 degree is good which I like.
- Dropped many times and once in steps. Still it is working fine.
Cons:
-Performance was very good only when I use internal memory. Even games were very fast. But when I started using external memory, songs starts playing immediately but screen hang for 30 seconds. Nokia advertise that Lumia supports 64 GB external memory but it sleeps for 32 only. Luckily shop guy asked me to use only 32 GB.
- Movie and Music players are not as good as IOS or android. We cant add subtitles in the movie player. We cant drag play bar in music player. No playlist option.
-Doesnt have more apps when compared to IOS or android.
-There is no difference between 520 and 525 except 1GB RAM. For that 512 MB I paid 3000 more as they offered free games for 2500.But Not all games are worth.
-As usual IE explorer is very worst and I am using UC browser.
- Doesnt support more screens in menu like android.
-No Audio recording.
-Phone book is not Attractive or user friendly compared to others.
-In Nokia care they charge more for any parts replacement. I havent faced any problem in my mobile. But it happened for my friends .
Updated Review:(Sep 2015)
After windows 8.1 upgrade, mobile is working well. Many Apps are available now. But still few problems not yet fixed like Music Player, Phonebook and Explorer. Hope the Windows 10 Upgrade could resolve other issues.
