Ive had my NGage for about 2 years now , it was passed onto me by my husband who had it on contract with vodaphone.
I unlocked it in about 2 minutes for use on virgin PAYG using a free unlocking program I found through Google..
I love this phone!
It is my main in car entertainment when waiting to pick up my kids.
I can watch films on it, play Java games, play commercially available games like the mobile version of the Sims , listen to MP3’s or the radio.
The calculator is useful for shopping.
I can even use it as a telephone :)
It even has bluetooth so one can play ones Ngage owning friends at games.
It has a mouse button which is good for games.
Although this is the older NGage , I think it is nicer looking than the newer QD model.
This is a big phone. You cant tuck it in your Jeans pocket.
I hang mine round my neck if I havent got a big enough pocket.
You have to remember to hold it the right way up when you are phoning.
The mouse button is the mouthpiece end!
To transfer the games etc to ones telephone , one needs a usb cable with the small connector on one end and the standard connector on the other (pc) end.
The telephone when new , comes with Nokia PC suite software to help with synchronising between phone and computer. I beleive this software is also available via Nokia’s web site.
However one does not really need the software for transferring files.
The phone shows up as a removeable drive in ’my computer’ under windows and is also compatible with Ubuntu and Kubuntu Linux.
I have FPExplore installed on my phone because it makes it much easier to find the various files on the phone . I downloaded FPExplore for free from the internet.
