Though I like my mobile cute N70 a lot, some features are really disappointing for many users of N70. I have been using it from the past 4 months and its quite fantastic with many good features loaded in it. I don’t deny to the fact that Symbian is much better an OS than Nokia OS, but it is missing to deliver some of the basic features expected from a good phone.
Drawbacks :
Full screen caller ID : Obviously many people like a full screen caller photo while receiving a call and many phones offer it too. But for this small feature in N70 you need to pay a hefty 15 pounds., this full screen caller ID is not free in N70 and you need buy a software for this feature.
Auto Key lock : Generally most of the mobile users set their mobiles to ’auto key lock’ after 15/30 secs so as to avoid button-press calls. Again this feature is not free in N70. You need to buy another software by paying 6 pounds.
Screensaver : To setup a desired screensaver you really need to be a techy to do it. Because offers only 3 screensavers : 1) with N70 features display. 2) Date-time 3 ) Any text.
I tried to figure out if I can set any other desired screensaver and for same I browsed nokia site and many forums. To my surprise to just change the screensaver you need a software and you to do many setting on your PC and on your mobile. With Nokia operating system we can simply upload the picture/animation/video we want and set it as screensaver.
- Animated wallpaper : Though I am not much interested in this feature, it is offered by many phones and even in some models of Nokia.
