A love story film of Kashmir Valley. First direction movie of Manmohan Krishan. The film’s music is composed by Khayyam and includes the romantic title song ‘Aaja Re O Mere Dilbar Aaja’ and ‘Chori Chori Koyi Aaye’ these two songs become very popular.
Film was shooted in the valley of Kashmir, far from crowded city, so watching this movie which abounds in natural beauty of Kashmir village, definitely audience feel relaxed.
Yusuf (Faooq Shaikh) lives in a scenic Kashmir valley, and one day he got a young and beautiful sweet heart Noorie (Poonam Dhillon). They are madly in love for each other. Noorie subtly explains to her father about her love with Yusuf and willing to marriage. Noorie’s father Ghulam who is delighted to have Yusuf as his son-in-law. They engaged and marriage date was also fixed. Ghulam starts preparation for their marriage, but unfortunately before the marriage could take place, Ghulam is killed in a planned accident by a falling tree. Yusuf is asked by his senior but worse employee to finish some work out of town. When Yusuf was out of town, Basheer Khan (Bharat Kapoor) casts evil eyes on Noorie, tried to rape Noorie, but Noorie knows she is only for Yusuf and no one can touch her, so she commit suicide, when Yusuf returns he finds out that Noorie is no longer alive as she committed suicide. He couldn’t find her body, even no one is able to locate her body. Now Yusuf was in stupor position there is no charm in his life, coz he lost the dearest thing. Finally Yusuf followed Noorie’s dog, Khairu, who seems to know what really happened to Noorie and her father, Yusuf confronted to Basheer, and given him a good lesson for his sin crime.
Noorie is a simple and slick direction movie, sceneries, and village of Kashmir color fully picturized, narration and incidents match other. Director Manmohan Krishna is also seen as ‘Saiji” and sang a qawwali based song “Wohi jaaney Allah Janey.
