Disappointed with NUEGO’s Service on 6th January 2025
I had a very bitter experience traveling with NUEGO on 6th January 2025. Despite its reputation for reliable service, my journey left me feeling frustrated and deeply disappointed.
Here’s what happened:
Delayed Departure:
The bus, scheduled to depart from Saibaba Colony, Coimbatore, at 4:35 PM, was delayed by 1.5 hours, finally leaving at 6:00 PM. No prior notification or explanation for the delay was provided, leaving passengers stranded and uncertain.
False Promises by the Driver:
I was promised by the driver that the bus would drop me at NIT Trichy, 10 km beyond the scheduled drop point at Chatram Bus Stand, Trichy. Based on this assurance, I refrained from seeking a refund and boarded the bus despite my frustration with the delay.
Disrespectful Behavior:
As the bus approached the Chatram Bus Stand, the driver went back on his word and dismissively stated, "Its a bus and not a call taxi to drop you wherever you want." To make matters worse, he tried to project it as if I had misunderstood his words, claiming he only promised to drop passengers at locations before the last stop, which was never mentioned earlier.
Lack of Support from Customer Service:
When I contacted NUEGO’s customer support, the representative dismissed my concerns, siding with the driver and citing company policies. They failed to acknowledge the drivers false promise, which had been the sole reason for me to continue with the journey despite the delay.
Stranded Without Local Transport:
Due to the 1.5-hour delay, I couldn’t avail local transport from Chathram Bus Stand to NIT Trichy, leaving me stranded late at night in an inconvenient and unsafe situation.
Overall Experience:
The lack of accountability, professionalism, and empathy displayed by both the driver and the customer service team was appalling. NUEGO needs to ensure their drivers don’t make false promises to passengers just to avoid refunds and that they treat customers with respect.
I expected better from a company like NUEGO, and I hope they take this feedback seriously to prevent such incidents from happening again.
