I had bought an O General Window 1.5 ton with Remote Air Conditioner from KBM Electronics, New Delhi.
The product is very effective in terms of cooling; it cools really well and fast. We setup the temperature at 22 degree and had to put off the AC during the night or early morning around 5am, but the remote has major functional problem, you need to be in front of the AC to operate the remote, it doesnt work diagonally and is painful at time, especially when you are operating it while you are lying on the bed.
The product is really good compared to its competitors like Samsung, LG, Hitachi etc
The product quality is very good, but the service is extremely poor, it had been a nightmare experience to get my ac serviced through o general, even during the warranty, they didnt arrive for service on time and I had chase them for weeks.
Now the product is out of warranty and I want to sign an AMC, it’s almost been weeks trying to get hold of them, but unsuccessful. The worst part is that since they dont have a website, it’s almost impossible to approach a senior officer in the company to update them about the problem, I don’t see any channel between the company and customer.
If I would have known this I would have never bought this product for free as well, I believe that the service plays an important role for the product satisfaction.
I seriously dont recommend this product to anyone, because of its poor service.
