I really liked it

The ending of the book was so powerful.

I love how steinbeck tied everything together, like the way Candy got his dog shot since he was such a nuisance but regretted that he had a stranger do it instead of himself.

And then how george shot lennie since he was becoming a nuisance but a friend did it instead of a stranger .

Right in the back of the head.

It was supposed to be painless and it was and Lennie died thinking he would tend the rabbits. George and Lennie’s friendship is portrayed very well in this story. The fact that he killed Curley’s wife was quite alarming . I did not expect her to die. I didn’t quite understand the last sentence of the book . What Carlson had said and I felt really bad for Candy and the fact that he can’t get away with them now because I doubt George would just go with him. I really love Lennie’s character and pity him greatly but I also admire George for sticking it through with him. I also realized that lennie did not steal the gun, but george did to kill Lenniie

Over all really great story.
