OK Jaanu, starring Shradha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur is released. The film is directed by Shaad Ali. The film is remake of Mani Ratnam’s Tamil hit OK Kanmani. Ok Jaanu returned back again Shradha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur as the lead role after three rears of Ashiqui 2. The chemistry in both of them are good.
Plot -
Ok jaanu revolves around Shradha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur after a brief near encounter at a railways station and later go on wedding. Aditya who is a Video-game designer wills to settle in US for his carrier and Architect Shraddha gone to Paris for his future. They bith decide to be in a living relationship. Naseeruddin Shah and Leela Samson both play the role of a old couple and they letting their apartment to the new couple Shradha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur.
Ok Jaanu reflect the new generation couple relationship. Its shows how the couple want to leave togather in a living relationship in spite of marriage. Film show the problems with new generation and the things they scare like responsibility.
So there is nothing new in this film you may see all the scenes before in many movies with this plot, which is disappointing.
Cast Performance -
Shradha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur play well according to the script as a new generation couple who think is easy to live in a relationship rather than marriage. But I don’t understand what the hell director is doing with such a wonderful actor Naseerddin Shah. If director want he give more time to the script and make an important role to him but its not happened which make the film boring.
Sound Track -
Ar Rahman;s done good job and gives music as per his nature. The music is preety good and the songs are on people lips too.
Cinematography -
Cinematography is also average in this film, nothing special for the spectators.
So my Verdict for the film is just OK. Means if you have enough time and money to spend you can go and watch the movies but don’t aspect extra ordinary film with Ok Jaanu. That’s I said its just OK. I give 2 star to this film.
