However during my frequent interactions with Ola, their customer care, their drivers, their offers, I began to realise that they are bringing out offers that are CHEATING customers. Lot of their offers are just meant to attract customers and the 50% off offers are often fraud. Let me elaborate with instances:
1) In approx. October 2015, they came out with an offer that if you charge your Ola money account with an amount greater than Rs300, the OlaMoney will be doubled. So I went ahead and recharged for Rs1200 and the amount did not double. When I called the customer care, they said that the OlaMoney will double only if my recharge amount was upto Rs1000. I quoted the communication sent to me that no such term was mentioned in the Ts&Cs and the customer care said theyll revert to me. However there was no revert. I called repeatedly and every time the customer care promised to revert which they never did. I sent emails, no reply!
2) In March 2015, they had a 50% off wherein the condition was that if you paid for your ride through Ola Money(and took the ride till 3rd March), you get 50% off. So I booked an Ola cab, recharged my Ola Money account and at the end of the ride paid through the Ola Money. However I was charged the entire amount with no discount. The driver was clueless when I asked him and when I called the customer care, they said that I should have charged my account first and then booked the ride(what I had done was book my ride, then recharge the account and then take the ride). I argued that this was ridiculous and no where was this mentioned. But the customer care guy kept arguing. Finally I got so fed up of arguing and have up.
