Hello friends, Today I’m going to share my first ride experience with ola cabs.
So here it goes, actually my dad was coming from nagpur to delhi via flight.
The arrival time of flight was 10: 30pm, so I booked ola cab one hour before the arrival time which is 9: 30pm from igi airport to bahadurgarh.
And ola app showed me fare charges of rupees559. And I confirmed the booking.
At 10: 10 pm the driver named joginder singh called me and asked me about the fare and I told him to reach igi airport at 10: 40pm, he said that he will reach there in just 5minutes but ola will cancel the ride if ride didn’t get started when he reach at igi airport.
So he adviced me to start the ride by sharing otp with him, I shared otp with him then he told me that he is waiting at parking.
After that I shared the driver details with my dad and asked my dad to contact driver and ask him to come at exit, my dad then contacted the driver and told him about his location.
The driver said that I’m at parking and reach to you in just 2 minutes . but the driver came there at 11: 23 pm, my dad waited for 40 minutes at the exit, the fare was already started as I already shared the otp with the driver at 10: 15pm.
The real problem starts here, when the driver asked for 807 rupees and when I asked him about why he asking for extra money he told me that its toll/parking charges. then I said him that there is no toll in route, he said that he reached at igi airport by paying toll and the toll charges is in customer’ side.He said me to check in ola app and I was pissed by seeing that the app was showing 807rupees. He said you have to pay what app is showing. And driver start behaving rudely.
Then my dad said that it’s late night and now there is no benefit in argueing with him so I have to pay 248rupees extra for that ride.
Which I found is really wrong with customer.
My question here is why ola is cheating with people by showing less fare charges before booking and then increase the charges in name of different charges when person reach at their destination.
So my advice to you all that use ola carefully and check & confirm the different charges before booking any ride.
