Ola cabs the indian version of uber, started off well in major metropolitan cities in india and shot to fame with their cab Services and the main reason for its popularity was the way they promoted their cab services, that is through referal marketing, where in when you install the app for the first time, u get a free ride and when you refer this to your friends through social media, you both get discounts
This led to huge number of people opting for cab services and ola was a instant success, but seeing the servives nowadays you cannot imagine that this was the cab service that was functioning well and used to give cab services at an affordable rate
But this was the past I am talking about, the current services is just pathetic, just because it became an overnight success, the company is just expanding its business, rather than giving good service to the people
I live in Bangalore city where ola cabs are very popular, but in the present days there are many flaws in their system and people are fed up and complaining about it
There is no proper understanding between the drivers and the company, they just keep complaining that their operation control unit with the company is not proper and they keep complaining about the loopholes in their company, the driver himself is not satisfied with the company he is working for, there is no professional relationship with the cab drivers and the company, just imagine how bad this is , the company cannot satisfy their own employees, how will they satisy their customers , there is absolutely no professional relationship between the employee and the company
I personally have faced lots of issues with ola cabs, the first thing being they can not track the exact location, and they keep calling you to guide them with the location, this shows how bad their gps navigation tracking system is and they blame us for not sharing the exact location with them
The drivers are not at all friendly and they have lot of attitude problems, Many drivers dont even bother about their customers and just ignore as if they are driving alone in the car, they just keep listening to loud music or just keep their headphones plugged in.Another bad habit of these drivers are they keep talking on the phone all the time and they Will be involved in their long personal chats which leads to lack of concentration and lead to reckless driving and which eventually leads to accidents
Once I happend to book a ola cab from my college, the travel distance from my college to my home is 30kms, it usually costs somewhere between 350 to 380 and while confirmimg the ride I saw the estimation price was 640, there was a huge difference, then I tried to book from a little near location and the results were the same, the rate fluctuates even within 2 to 3 meters from the same location.And once the rate of the ride was different from the estimated price that was shown while booking the ride, I had to pay 100 rupees more than what was estimated, and when I asked the driver he said it is the companys fault and said that it was not in his control I complained this to the company through their customer care service number, they said that I would receive the extra money I had paid, but I never got the refund, they just fool you
Sometimes there wont be any cabs available near the location, and due to this you get a ride which takes a lot of time to arrive to the location, and after waiting for such a long time when you are expecting your cab to arrive , at the end moment they will cancel the ride, this leads to wasteage if te and then again we have to book another cab and wait for 15 -20 minutes.Nowadays the average waiting period has become 15 minutes, if the cab driver shows up you are lucky, otherwise we have ro go to a different location and book the cab , and these cab drivers cancel the ride sometime at the very end moment giving various excuses
I hope that they take their reviews seriously and start working on the betterment of their customera and provide a good and safe services to all their customers
