Online taxi services have gained a lot of popularity since 2016. But do they really provide the service of what youre paying for? Heres my experience with Ola.-
I booked a cab from Swargate to Kothrud. Unable to track the cab, I called the driver. He didnt even seem close to polite. The cab took 20 mins extra to reach the departure point. Being late for work, I politely asked him if there was any reason he arrived late. He followed by saying, "Its OK, sir. Just 20 minutes late." You never know what 20 minutes cost you in life. Anyways, he did drive carefully and made me reach my destination point.
Just a few months later, I called Olas customer service, as some promo code wasnt working. I was made to wait for 10 straight minutes before my call was forwaded to someone who could resolve my problem. The was some lady behind the phone who couldnt speak fluent english. You have to recruit customer service employees carefully when youre a running a big time tech company.
Long story short, my drive wasnt worth and neither was the customer service experience. Ola should get more organized and improve their standard of recruiting employees.
