Ola cabs have turned out to be useless cheats as all businesses doomed to fail in long run do, after a while. My wife had to visit Delhi for some reason and she used Ola cab to and fro from NDLS to Paschim Vihar.
Of course, she had no idea about the surge pricing and was gullible enough to accept a ride with 2.4 times surge pricing. Now I do accept surge price of extra 50 bucks or something, even escalation of 1.5 times, but 2.4 sounds a bit unethical to say the least. The point is even 2.4 surge would sound ethical in comparison to the next thing i`m going to tell you!
Please see the images of bills I have provided carefully and try to follow the route taken and distance covered for both trips. The first trip, which was taken at the time of above mentioned surge pricing is around 10 km longer than the second one.Now, mind you, these travels were done on the same day between the same destinations.
So, of course, as you would have been able to deduce by now surge pricing is fleecing on two counts. You are being asked to pay more for the same service, but what is more deceitful is that you are being made to shell out even more by taking a bloody longer route. I just have one thing to say ` SHAME ON YOU, OLA`.
Mind you a bill of Rs 808 that too in a Mini( thank God my wife did not feel like using sedan) is too high. So next time, well there is not going to be a next time.
