To tell about the positives:
1) It is very convenient for the customers because all rides are door step pick ups. That means the cab comes to your location.
2) It is a very good service for those who don’t have any personal vehicle and want to use public transport. Instead of waiting for an autoricshaw or a bus, they can simply book a ride in ola cabs. Instead of going in search of a vehicle, we are making the vehicle coming in search for you! This is quite amazing! ??
3) Sometimes ola cabs is much more cheaper than autorickshaws. It is more convenient than autorickshaws. This really makes the customer use ola cabs instead of catching a rickshaw without any hesitation!
4) Since I stay in a remote residential area where there is no rickshaws or buses, I always use ola cabs. So for the people like, ola cabs is a must have application in your mobile.
5) If you are even cashless, then also you can pay the rides with ola money. Ola money sometimes bring very nice offers which is useful for us.
All these were the positives
Now let me come to the negatives:
1) Some cab drivers do not maintain their vehicle. Their vehicle looks very untidy. It really feels very awkward when we sit in that kind of a vehicle. Well, I am not saying that this is found in all vehicles. Only some vehicles ( around 1 in 100) can be found in this manner.
2) Some cab drivers ask us to give extra money which is more than the actual amount shown in the app. Even this also is found in very few cab drivers. So dont worry about this. People say that things are changed now, it is not like before. So I
think these kind of situations is very less likely found in ola services.
3) Some drivers cancels our request when we say our destination: I am asking each and everyone who is using ola cabs that please don’t tell your destination?? when your driver asks for it. If they find it very far or if they don’t want to go there, then they will cancel your request. Then you have to book another cab. This wastes hell lot of your time.
4) People say that it is a little risky for a woman to travel alone in ola cabs. If she is accompanied by someone, then its fine. If she is alone, then people say that some demon like natured drivers can take advantage. But dont worry, nowadays situation has changed very much. These kind of drivers are thrown out of ola and are reported to the police. Even the women have become very cautious about these things.
5) Price sometimes differs very much. It is not steady. Sometimes price get hiked very much than normal. In case of an emergency during that time, we have to think whether we should book a cab or not. This is the problem I face most of the time when I book a cab from home.
6) sometimes drivers take too much time to reach our location. If we call them, they say that their tyre has got punchured, some say they haven’t got any request. There are many other silly excuses cab drivers make. This sometimes is annoying. This is not found all the time. But when we are in a hurry and we book a cab, if the driver makes some silly excuse like this and make us wait, then we will definitely tell that the service is not up to the mark.
So these are my opinions about ola cabs.
According to me, ola is a very good service for the common people. It has the potential of providing the best service. But right now, it needs a lot a improvement. If the above mentioned negatives is seen and if they are tried to correct it, then this is the best app for travelling!
But let me tell you, the above mentioned negatives are not applicable to each and every ride you book. You can find these in 1 in 30 rides you book. So don’t say that ola is having these many negatives, then why should I use it. But believe me, majority of the times you get only positive experience. This is my gaurantee to each and every user of ola.
Majority of the times, you will feel that "I have to give 5 stars to this ride".
So overall, I will give 4/5 stars ? for Ola cab services.
I hope their services still gets improved in the future with all the minimum amount of negatives thrown out so that it provides 100% perfect serivices with no negatives which will bring a big smile on the customer’s face.
