Well I would like to re-christen them as GOLA cabs as they are giving a big gola in the name of service to their customers. If you disagree or are planning to avail their services then read ahead.
I took my first ride with OLA yesterday and got cheated. My travel was from Sahibabad to Kanti Nagar Ext - East Delhi which is not even 8 km. After reaching the destination the driver pulled out his cellphone and marked the travel complete on his OLA drivers app and asked for Rs. 520. I was taken aback in shock as their estimates for this travel on their booking app showed ranging from Rs. 100 - 200 and thats what I had calculated based on their fares.
I asked the driver for the bill details as the amount was way too high(520 Rs.)
The driver assured that the bill was legitimate and invoice would be emailed asap. I had no choice but to pay the bill as I was taking someone to the doctors clinic. When I reviewed the bill later on my email, to my surprise the distance listed on the bill was 24.73 km!
The actual bill per their fares shouldve been:
FARE DETAILS
Minimum bill Rs 100 for the first 4 Km
After 4 Km Rs 8 per Km
Ride Time Rs 1 per minute
FARE BREAKUP
First 4 km: Rs. 100.0
Rate for 4 KM - 4 x 8: 32 Rs
Free ride time(5 min): Rs. 0
Ride time charge for 45.93 min: Rs. 45.93(High ride time due to one non-working traffic signal)
Total= 100+32+45.93= 177.93~ 178 Rs.
This is pure forgery and bad first time experience. I then sent a complaint email to their support team(Complaint # CRN 150206937). They reviewed the bill, agreed that they had cheated and resent the correct distance but still incorrect calculations still. They only wish to refund Rs. 142 and that too through OLA wallet(see below):

I responded and asked them to refund me in cash ASAP as ive already lost my faith in OLA cabs and would dare not travel again. However they are blunt and would not budge!
I will ensure that I post my bad experience on other travel and customer review portals. Too bad for a reputable company like OLA. Will never travel with you again!
