Old Monk, what can I say?
Affordable.
Tastes absolutely divine on its own, on the rocks, or just some water or (my favourite choice) club soda. Yes, cola’s are a big nono. I cant even say that adding cola is for ’girls’ cause I am one. heh.
No hangover, unless you down a whole half in one evening just to satisfy the inner drunken bafoon in you.
Goes down very easy....goes well with food too. Also can be used in numerous recipes without having to worry about it overpowering the flavors of other ingredients. Has a molasses base so works excellent with sugar in deserts, etc.
One of my favorite ways of enjoying Old Monk is making rum slush with just a little bit of lemon into the rum and ice mixture…very refreshing on a hot summer afternoon pool party ;-) Can also make rum ‘gola’s with a similar technique.
Lovely aroma, works amazing in cocktails, etc.
