This camera packed up after very little use with a blue screen of death due to what sounds like a poor geer wheel on the lens stripped its teeth.
It started to go seriously wrong shortly after the warranty expired. Now have the dreaded error code and blue screen of death: 5e02. Olympus are fully aware of this problem. The Internet has many people complaining about it. The product should have been called back, but I guess they can afford to lose a few hundred thousand customers.
Contacted Olympus and asked if the camera was repaired would they install the same defective parts or would they install modified parts that address this known problem. No reply just asking for £50 for a new lense.
I hate the fact that Olympus cameras use quick time for video too as they ask you to purchase quick time pro in order to edit your films. Bad form IMO.
Will never ever ever purchase another Olympus Camera as long as I live! Might just as well get £280 and set fire to it.Total and utter piece of crap! Buyer beware.
