Writing a review for OSO can not be simplified because more than the content
of the movie-the cast the publicity the expectations can bias the reader as well
as me-a layman who is simply writing about her views on this "overrated movie"if
I may call it so.
But whose complaining?we all got to see SRKs new
acquisition-his well sculpted body Dipika looked pretty and also did reasonably
good acting in her debut film and ofcourse Shreyas and Kiron Kher were endearing
in their roles.
Where the Director lost it would be then in the second
half of the movie.Ok.agreed it was "inspired" by Karz but in todays times as if
we didnt have enough of the Ichchaadari Nagins where is the need to talk abt
reincarnation or to put it bluntly "spirits".As much as the first half of the
movie was entertaining it was marred by the exagerrated fire scene and
thereafter the downfall in the storys plot followed.
There were some
puzzling questions left in the minds of th audience I am sure such as if "Om" is
s scared of fire then how is he able to pull off those heroic stunts as shown in
the movie?and how on earth did the Director of the movie feel that the audience
was brainless enough to accept not one but two reincarnations and their meeting
and departing in the last scene which looked almost as if it was squeezed into
the movie when the story went haywire.
Enough of the dissection but overall it is an entertainer as the
cinematography the vibrant colours and the cast(read SRK) win ure
appreciation. Its another thing that one does not have to be a movie analyzer to
know that rarely if at all a movie starring SRK does not make it to the TOP
5.
so long.
