I don’t ever rush to the theater to see a movie as soon as it is released. I usually wait for a few weeks for it to hit the club circuit or a few months for it to appear on cable TV. If its spoken off as a very good movie, I make the effort to go to the club; if its described as good then I would rather sit back with a drink in hand and watch it on TV.
The hype surrounding Om Shanti Om got me to the club - what a waste of time, effort and petrol!
There were some good touches but the movie makes you feel sad for our audiences.have standards plummeted to an extent people swallow any kind of pre release hype and stampede to the theaters to see what can, at best, be described as a mediocre effort .
Our Producers and Directors should realise that the audience deserves better.
